We are seeking a talented and experienced New Product Introduction (at least 2–5 years of relevant experience) to join our small and highly skilled team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality “gatekeeper,” ensuring that new products are designed for manufacturability and meet all regulatory and customer standards before mass production.
In this role, you will:
- Technical focal point between R&D, Design Engineering, and Production, drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Lead NPI activities from prototype through mass production
- Manage Production testing, yields and failure analysis to ensure production continuity.
- Maintain the product files, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications.
- Support production line bring-up, prototype builds, production ramp, and testing reports.
- Interface with contract manufacturers (EMS) and key suppliers.
- Support sourcing decisions, second sourcing, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Define critical-to-quality features and establish First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, including visual aids and work instructions for QC inspectors.
- Lead internal and external ISO audits to comply with global standards.
You will be expected to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, should have soft skills: strong communication, stakeholder management and customer-service orientation, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Requirements
The ideal New Product Introduction who we are looking for should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3–7+ years’ experience in NPI / Manufacturing Engineering, quality and engineering fields
- Hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing (PCBAs, systems)
- Proficiency in reading CAD models and complex engineering drawings
- QMS Alignment: Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure NPI activities adhere to global standards like ISO 9001 (General)
- Global Regulatory Submissions: Prepare and review technical documentation packages required for international regulatory bodies
- Environmental & Material Compliance: Manage submissions for the International Material Data System (IMDS) and ensure compliance with global environmental regulations like RoHS or REACH
- Understanding and support of MIL and CE tests in order to quality the new products
- Ability to prioritize multiple orders/tasks and work under tight timelines
- Strong teamwork, customer-facing communication skills and an awareness for delivering high-quality service
- Excellent written and spoken English
